How to insert blank rows alternatively in excel - Without ASAP Utility probably you dont know

ASAP Utility is great tool to do work more easily. It is also less time consuming and it can do amazing things in Excel which help to improve readability of Data. But the problem is ASAP Utility is not free. It has only Free trial for few days. So you can not ensure on the same. So I am writing this blog to know how you can use trick to complete work same as ASAP Utility but without ASAP Utility.

Insert blank rows alternatively in excel - Without ASAP Utility

Sometimes data is huge and unreadable so you want insert blank row between each line. But if data is huge then it will be time consuming when you apply normal insert process. You can use SORT option to insert blank rows and it is best way to do.

How to do?

Number on Last Column

Put numbers in blank column with using fill handle shown as per below till last row of data. Your data might be huge but it doesn't matter you can easily put numbers with fill handle.

Copy Number

 Select all number which you put and copy them below from next cell. In our below example I have copied Range H2:H7 to H8:H13.

Sort

Select all data till last row (till last number as shown in image) and go to option sort => Custom Sort. Then sort by data with column where you have fill numbers. Keep other option like Sort on and Order as it is.

Delete

Finally you can see blank rows have been added under each data row. Now delete all numbers from unwanted column. Hope you understand and enjoy the post.
