Add shapes in excel easily

There are many ways to bring attention to particular value in excel. Such as increase size of that value, Use text highlighted Color or Bold that value. But I personally prefer cool Shapes which easily catch attention of reader. Below is the procedure to insert different shape.

Let’s start tutorial -

Suppose you want particular shape on specific value on Data. Then Go to Insert tab and click on Shapes. There are bunch of different shapes available in Excel. Choose whatever shape you like.

And then draw the same on area where you want. Now you can see our values are hiding because of overlay of shape. To display the value within shape right click on shape and select last option i.e. Format Shape.

There are lots of different options available to format shape but you should adjust Transparency to view values within shape then try different option. Here I have adjusted Transparency level to 68%.

 

You can try various formats which are available on left side of pop up window. 3D format with shadow look very nice.
